BA In Biochemistry


Purpose

This major is designed for students planning to attend medical or dental school, but who cannot meet all requirements for the B.S. in biochemistry and who do not plan to pursue graduate work or to seek employment in industry.

Breadth of Inquiry

  • 1 Critical Approaches to the Arts and Sciences Course (take COLL- C103, C104, or C105)
  • 4 Arts & Humanities studies courses (2 Gen Ed and 2 CASE)
    • College of Arts and Sciences C103 will count here if taken
  • 4 Social & Historical studies courses (2 Gen Ed and 2 CASE)
    • College of Arts and Sciences C104 will count here if taken
  • 4 Natural & Mathematical science courses (will be fulfilled by major)

Recommendations:

Mathematics M211 is strongly recommended, and M212 is highly desirable for students planning to work in many other fields.
