Decisions on Admission

Applicants will be notified of the decision of the Admissions Committee as soon as possible.

You may check the status of your application at any time by sending email to the Chemistry Graduate Office at chemgrad@indiana.edu. Before you email, please consider the time necessary for routing application materials.

Students who are accepted into the Graduate Program are invited to attend our recruiting weekend event held in March. We encourage you to visit our Department and our campus to get a first-hand look at the outstanding opportunities here. During the weekend event, students will be given an overview of the curriculum and requirements, meet the faculty, and tour the facilities, along with getting a better feel of graduate student life. This will give you a broader sense of the research opportunities available at IU. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled weekends, we can arrange an individual visit for you.

All reasonable expenses related to your visit will be reimbursed by the Chemistry Department. Please contact the Graduate Admissions Office for more details or to schedule a visit.
