John Michael Espinosa Duran

John Michael Espinosa Duran decided to leave his home country of Colombia to pursue a doctorate degree in the United States.  John joined the Indiana University Department of Chemistry to pursue a PhD in chemical physics in 2012.  John studied under the direction of Professor Peter Ortoleva.  After completing his degree, John accepted a position as a process engineer with Intel in Oregon.  In 2022 John took a position with Axiom Space as a test ops engineer for the first commercial space station.  He is in the process of receiving astronaut training with IIAS.
