Erin Hancock


Erin Hancock joined the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University in 2015 to pursue a PhD in organic chemistry where she studied under the mentorship of Professor M. Kevin Brown. During her time at IU, Erin focused on the total synthesis of the ladderane family of natural products and received several awards including Chester Davis Organic Fellowship, Jack K. Crandall Award, Wendell P. Metxner Memorial Award, Provost’s Travel Award for Women in Science, and NSF GRFP Honorable Mention. Upon completing her doctorate degree, Erin accepted a position in Discovery Chemistry at Corteva Agriscience where she focuses on the development of new, sustainable fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides.
