Lauren Barnes, graduate student in the Martin Jarrold research group, was recognized with a Conrad Award ($500) for her poster presentation at the 2021 International Oncolytic Virus Conference, organized by the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy. Selection for this award is a very competitive process, and her abstract was chosen as one of the six best poster abstracts presented by a student or postdoc, no small feat. The IU Department of Chemistry is internationally renowned for its research in the area of Physical Virology.
