“One-off” teaching sessions

A few open air venues have popped up on campus.  While primarily intended for performances and art programming, you can request to schedule “one-off” teaching sessions using this link: https://www.iuauditorium.com/events/open-air-venues  Brian Oakley is the contact.

Upcoming Seminars

We have several important departmental seminars coming up.  This Wednesday, 26 Aug, 4pm, Kevin Brown will be giving a seminar, and the following Wednesday, 2 Sept, 4pm, Silas Cook will be giving his seminar.

Instruction related matters "back to normal"

Anyone doing instruction this fall should be aware that matters such as changing from A-F to P/F grading is “back to normal.” That is, the normal deadlines are in place.  Also, the online course evaluations will be done for all classes, as opposed to last semester, when the default was to not offer them.

Be mindful of room capacity limits

The number density on campus was up very noticeably yesterday.  Please continue to be particularly mindful of room capacity limits, and alert Jon Karty or me if you see traffic jams in our hallways.
