Collaborative Paper Between Jeremy Smith’s and Elena Jakubikova’s Groups Gets Chem. Sci. Cover Highlight

A collaborative paper between the groups of Professors Jeremy Smith and Elena Jakubikova (NC State) is highlighted on the cover of Chem. Sci.   This work provides mechanistic insight into the electrocatalytic reduction of aqueous nitrate, a widespread environmental pollutant that originates from ammonia fertilizer. These results also provide guidelines for the design of improved nitrate reduction electrocatalysts.
