Dr. Caitlyn McGuire Defends Her Dissertation

Dr. Caitlyn McGuire (former student of Peters' Group) defended her dissertation "Pollution Electrocution" last year and moved to D.C. as an ACS Congressional Fellow. She is now currently serving in the office of Senator Durbin (D-IL). Caitlyn is a skilled academic researcher and utilizes her strong background in analytical methods and statistics in passion for environmental regulation and public policy. Some of her experiences include working hands-on with advanced chemical instrumentation, reviewing and writing scientific literature, studying law, public speaking, managing laboratory facilities and personnel, and mentoring younger students.
