Responses to Anonymous Portal Feedback

  1. We continue to receive complaints of individuals’ not wearing masks.  Noncompliance with the mask mandate is unacceptable.  We cannot expect anyone to feel safe in a working environment that continues to be cavalier about this crucial safety measure.  Vice President for Research Fred Cate has noted that external funding can be withheld from any laboratory not complying with COVID-19-related safety policies.  For reference, in addition to campus policy, county mask order:  https://indianapublicmedia.org/news/monroe-county-issues-order-requiring-face-masks-beginning-friday.php and the state mask order:  https://indianapublicmedia.org/news/statewide-mask-order-taking-effect-monday.php
  2. Testing and self-quarantining for anyone who has traveled to a hot spot or who has been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19:  The campus will be issuing specific guidelines in the coming days, but in the meantime, all should take sensible precautions, take advantage of the available testing, and continue to wear masks and observe social distancing and hand hygiene.
  3. Here is the link to the COVID-19 reporting form:  https://psia-fireform.eas.iu.edu/online/form/authen/007
  4. Cloth masks-  The University has promised to mail two cloth masks to everyone on campus.  As of right now, we’re still awaiting their arrival (via USPS). In the meantime, surgical masks are available in the stockroom and through the PPE ordering portal.
