Restart Date, Strict Policies

As a follow-up to the message sent Monday-

1. The soft start date for research has not been finalized- please wait to hear from the upper administration before coming to Chemistry, even if you have everything in place to implement your safe restart plan on Monday.  Also, keep in mind the two-group member policy for the soft start of research once we are given the green light to resume research.  We will keep the reduced number density policy in place until the building has been adequately equipped with cleaning supplies, PPE, signage indicating maximum occupancy of common areas, etc.
2. Please bear in mind that there may be additional and stricter practices required in the restart policies that come from the upper administration.
3. The facilities, stockroom, etc. are working on plans for restart, but may not have the supplies and materials necessary to implement the plans immediately.  Some staff may not be allowed back on campus until the pandemic policy is relaxed.  None will be open for business until they have been able to fully implement their plans. We will keep you updated on their status.

As a reminder, you will need to submit your restart plan before participating in any soft restart of research, unless your research will continue to be conducted remotely.
