With sincere apologies for interrupting a very sad time for our department, here are a few items we had intended to send out today, some of which are time sensitive:

Research support

1. Chemical waste pick up will be by appointment only for the next few weeks.  Individuals with waste needing pickup must request a time slot at http://apps.ehs.iu.edu/waste/main.cfm (you must be on VPN or have an IU IP address for this link to work).  Time slots are available on Thursdays 4/16, 4/30, and 5/14.  Be aware that the assigned time slot might NOT be the usual 2:30-3:30pm
2. Campus mail and US Mail are both being picked up on Fridays.  Jackie tries to identify time sensitive items and inform the recipients of their arrival.  If you are waiting for something in particular to arrive by US Mail or IU Campus Mail, please let Jackie know (jdrake@indiana.edu).
3. Deliveries are still being received on Tuesday and Friday.  If there are deliveries that cannot be rescheduled for these days, please coordinate with Jon Karty (jkarty@indiana.edu) and Ashley Mills (millsad@indiana.edu).

Teaching

1. For those of you who were unable to attend the faculty meeting last Tuesday, Martha discussed best practices for administering exams online.  A document summarizing the recommendations is in box: https://iu.app.box.com/folder/109655239156
2. CITL also provided feedback on overloading students, getting student feedback (online questionnaires will not be offered this semester unless you specifically request it) and giving more time for exams.  The email is from Greg Siering, and it was sent Thursday, 9 April, at 1:27pm.
3. If you would like to have online course evaluations, please note that your request must be submitted by the end of business, tomorrow, 15 April.  The timeline for implementing the evaluations is pasted at the end of this message.  You can send your request to opt in for online evaluations directly to me.
