LeeAnn Sager has won the 2017 ACS Undergraduate Award in Physical Chemistry

LeeAnn is a undergraduate researcher in Srini Iyengar's lab and uses theoretical chemistry to probe the stability and spectroscopic properties of anamolous Carbocations. Her efforts have clarified questions raised by recent experiments. LeeAnn is a junior from LaPorte, Indiana and she is pursuing a BS degree in chemistry with minors in Physics and mathematics. Her long-term career goals include earning a PhD degree in theoretical chemistry and teaching at the university level. LeeAnn is also a Goldwater Scholar and this award was conferred in 2017.
