
Professor Mubarak received his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from Indiana University, Bloomington, USA in 1982 under the supervision of Professor Dennis G. Peters. He served as the chairman of the department of chemistry and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science at The University of Jordan for several years. He is also an Adjunct professor of Chemistry at Indiana University, Bloomington (USA) since 2009. In addition to electrochemistry, Professor Mubarak’s research program is broadly based on synthetic organic chemistry, especially synthesis of compounds with expected biological activity, medicinal chemistry, and drug design and discovery. He is the author and coauthor of more than 200 research papers and reviews published in peer-reviewed journals in addition to chapters published in specialized books. He has also supervised 40 theses and dissertations, and is the editorial board of several journals.
