Arifuzzaman Tapash completed his bachelor's and master's degree in Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry (polymer physics and NMR spectroscopy) in 2016 from Oklahoma State University. His Ph.D. research was focused on developing solid-state NMR spectroscopic methods for studying the morphology of semicrystalline polymers and building a relationship between polymer synthesis conditions and morphology.

Dr. Tapash joined Indiana University in January 2017 as an NMR Spectroscopist in the Chemistry department NMR facility. His research interest includes solid-state NMR spectroscopy methods, solution NMR spectroscopy, semi-crystalline polymer morphology, and polymer chain dynamics.
