Overview

The Chemistry Department at IU strives to foster an academic community that supports research, teaching, and service at all levels, where all members of the chemistry community can thrive. Our Chemistry Harmony Advisory Team (CHAT) has been tasked with leading this effort.

CHAT is composed of faculty members across all ranks, graduate students, a staff member, and the chair of the chemistry department. We work closely with our student-run Chemistry Graduate Research Committee (ChemGRC) to ensure that graduate student concerns in the departmental community are proactively identified and addressed. We work with faculty and associate instructors to support the development of supportive classrooms that allow for students at all levels and backgrounds to achieve their greatest potential.
