Kitchens Opening, Rooms for Eating, Flu Vaccines, and More

September 28, 2020

Kitchens Opening

The kitchens will be open for single occupancy use.  Anyone using the kitchens will need to disinfect surfaces.  If any problems arise with kitchen usage, they will need to be closed again.

Reserving Rooms for Eating

The small classrooms throughout Chemistry that AIs have been able to schedule time in for conducting discussions and office hours can also be reserved for eating (instructional activities have top priority).  Please contact Kayla Holmes (holmeskj@iu.edu) in the Academic Office to schedule times (for now), and be sure to adhere to the schedule, occupancy limits, and cleaning protocols.

Flu Vaccines

Flu vaccines are required for all IU students and employees whose work or class schedule requires them to be regularly on campus (https://fall2020.iu.edu/faq/index.html flu vaccination category).  There will be clinics on campus beginning in October, but getting one through your health-care provider or a pharmacy in town is fine.

Aaron Carroll’s Q&A Webinars

Aaron Carroll’s Q&A webinars held every few weeks are posted at https://broadcast.iu.edu/. Last week, a faculty and staff session was held on Monday, a student session was Wednesday.

Compliance with Restroom Occupancy Limits

We still get an occasional report of non-compliance with maximum occupancy, mainly in restrooms.  No one wants to be the bathroom police. Please knock and wait if necessary.  If you observe what you think is intentional violation of occupancy limits, please use the fireform reporting website: https://iuforms-fireform.eas.iu.edu/online/form/authen/violations
