Binbin Kou received his B.S. degree in School of Pharmacy at Peking University Health Science Center in 2000. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Medicinal Chemistry in 2005 at institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Science & Peking Union Medical College. Then he came to Indiana University as postdoctoral associate under the mentoring of Dr. DiMarchi. He was promoted to assistant scientist in the 2012 summer.
His research experience includes a diverse field in medicinal chemistry on different targets and in peptide and small molecule organic synthesis. He currently focuses on improvement of pharmacokinetic properties of macromolecular therapeutic reagents under the direction Dr. DiMarchi. His inventions were licensed and acquired by Merck and Roche pharmaceutical company.
