Congratulations

Lilly Alumni Chair and Professor Milos Novotny was selected as a Distinguished Lecturer by the Robert A. Welch Foundation and will be presenting a lecture in the spring of 2009. The Lectureship Program was established in 1956 to encourage interest and excellence in chemical research with the State of Texas . The Welch Foundation also generously supports chemical research at the universities in Texas . Coincidentally, Dr. Novotny was a Welch Postdoctoral Fellow before coming to IU in 1971.

Departmental News

A warm chemistry welcome goes out to Rashul Sartoris.   Rashul has worked for the University since January 2006.   Her last position was at the Geology Department.   Rashul will be working as Administrative Assistant for Drs. Baik, C. Jarrold, Tait, Skrabalak, Zaleski, and the METACyt Biochemical Analysis Center under the supervision of Yehia Mechref.   She is located in C110.   If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to say hello.   Contact information:   rsartori@indiana.edu ; Phone: 856-0884.
