Advising Holds: (An advising hold prevents students from registering until they see an advisor).
In the fall, the chemistry department will put advising holds on the Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior majors who are in the College* to ensure that they meet with a chemistry advisor to discuss their spring schedules and for seniors, to do their senior check.
In the spring, the chemistry department will put advising holds on the Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior majors who are in the College* to ensure that they meet with a chemistry advisor to discuss their fall schedules and plans for preparing to apply for internships and/or employment. Seniors are welcome to see us for advising, but will not have a hold for fall registration.
No advising holds are put on for summer registration.
*Students who have not certified to the College, who are in UDIV or other school, will not have an advising hold from Chemistry, but may have an advising hold from UDIV or their other school. These students will need to see their advisor to release the hold. All students are welcome to see the chemsitry advisor in addition to their other advisor.
Students who will be coming in for registration appointments can set up their appointments by going to our Registration Advising Appointments link.. Here you can select from days and times that she has made available just for registration purposes. If you happen to miss your registration appointment, please remember to go back to the registration site and make a new appointment.
