Jobs
As a grad student, your work hours are most likely being taken up by AI or RA duties. If your spouse wants to find a job, the following resources offer a place to start looking.
Work On-Campus
The IU Human Resources department offers information on applying for part-time and full-time jobs at the university. Job postings (professional and staff) are updated every week, so you need to keep checking. Typically, you file one application and resume with their office and then submit the job titles/numbers for which you would like to be considered. There are usually also some tests (like typing or word processing) that you will need to go to Poplars to complete.
You may also want to investigate employment opportunities at the Career Development Center. These are usually short-term, lower-paying positions geared towards undergraduate students, but spouses are eligible to use the center's services.
Work Off-Campus
Indiana Workforce Development offers help with job placement, skills testing, counseling, and some statistics about unemployment in Monroe county and the state of Indiana.
The Herald-Times has some helpful resources including help-wanted classifieds on-line.
