Biomolecular NMR Laboratory
The METACyt Biomolecular NMR Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility for solution structure and dynamics determination of proteins and nuclei acids at atomic resolution. Located on the ground floor of Simon Hall, the laboratory houses 4-channel 600 MHz and 800 MHz instruments, each equipped with a cryogenic probe system capable of detected macromolecular signals from samples as low as 50 µM concentration. Both spectrometers are fully capable of running virtually any multidimensional and multinuclear NMR experiment that life scientists might desire. Comprehensive data processing, data analysis and structure determination capabilities are being developed as well.
The laboratory is open for use by all research groups at IU. Check back for periodic updates to facility innovations and services.
